CHECK YOUR SETUP
Know what works. Check what gets shared.
Your Mac, your camera, your calling app. A short check before the conversation that matters.
macOS 15 (Sequoia) or later, Apple Silicon or Intel
Documented behavior. Your setup, verified by you.
Stinger asks macOS to exclude its panel from capture. Use Ghost Check, then verify in the meeting or recording app and sharing mode you plan to use; capture behavior varies.
A check is specific to your setup. Passing one capture path does not certify every app or sharing mode. No blanket meeting-app or recording-app certification is claimed here.
Before you share your screen
01 · Turn Demo Mode off
Demo Mode intentionally includes the panel in captures for tutorials. Keep it off for normal prompting.
02 · Run Ghost Check
Inspect Stinger's capture. Grant Screen Recording permission if macOS requests it for this check.
03 · Check the actual output
Make a short recording or inspect a second device using your intended calling app and sharing mode. If the panel appears, stop sharing and adjust your setup. Repeat after changing apps, displays, or settings.
On your Mac
Voice and Track process microphone input locally. Rehearsal records camera and microphone when you choose to record.
When you use the cloud
Premier Practice Partner sends microphone audio and script context for processing. Voiceover sends script text. Optional iCloud sync uploads scripts to your Apple Account.
Answers for your setup
Which Macs can run Stinger?
Stinger requires macOS 15 (Sequoia) or later, Apple Silicon or Intel. Without a notch, the panel sits at the top center; you can float it near an external camera.
Does Ghost Check certify every recording app hides the panel?
No. Ghost Check inspects a capture path; it does not certify every meeting app, recording tool, or sharing mode. Check the actual output you plan to use.
Does my audio or script leave my Mac?
Voice and Track process microphone input locally. Premier Practice Partner sends microphone audio and script context for cloud processing; Voiceover sends script text. Optional iCloud sync uploads scripts to your Apple Account.
What happens when I work offline?
Local scrolling can use downloaded scripts without a connection while your license remains valid. Server-issued licenses need a successful check within 14 days; Premier cloud features, updates, and new cloud downloads need a connection.
