How do I train Track mode?
Open Help › Train Track Mode… (or Settings › Voice & Track › Train Track…) and read one short paragraph aloud while Stinger listens. It measures your mic sensitivity, speaking pace, and confidence threshold from that one read, tailored to your voice, microphone, and room.
What should I do to get the best training result?
- Quiet room. No music, fans off, door closed. Track listens for words, so every other sound is a word it might mishear.
- Use the mic you'll present with, and pick it in Settings first. AirPods or a mic within arm's reach beat the laptop's built-in mic from across a desk.
- Read exactly what's on screen, at your normal pace. Training is about measuring, not performing.
- Re-train when anything changes — a different room, mic, or a cold.
What do the training results mean?
Excellent or Good means Track will follow you closely; Fair means it will hesitate and recover more slowly; Poor means use Voice mode in this setup, or fix the noise and mic distance and train again. Nothing is recorded — only the training paragraph is sent to the recognizer, and it stays on this Mac.
