Which scroll mode should I use in Stinger?
Pick Auto for a steady, polished read; Voice for natural pauses and breathing room; Track if you ad-lib, restart, or skip lines. Track uses on-device speech recognition and keeps up with the words you actually say.
What does Auto mode do?
Auto scrolls at a fixed number of lines per minute. Change the speed live with ⌘↑ / ⌘↓ or the hare/tortoise buttons. It's best for a polished read at a steady pace — pick a speed and stick to it.
What does Voice mode do?
Voice scrolls while it hears you talking and pauses when you stop. It waits ~0.15 s before starting and ~0.6 s of silence before pausing, so breaths and commas don't stop it. Best for natural delivery with real pauses built in.
What does Track mode do?
Track listens for the words you say using on-device speech recognition and keeps the lit line on the sentence leaving your mouth. Best if you ad-lib, restart sentences, or skip ahead. If Track isn't confident for four seconds while you're speaking, it behaves like Voice mode until it catches up. Track needs the on-device language model; Settings › Voice & Track lists the languages your Mac supports.
Which mode should I pick?
Auto if you want a steady, metered pace. Voice if you speak naturally with pauses and don't want the script racing ahead of you. Track if you're comfortable with the words but not the order — you ad-lib, restart, or skip sentences and need the script to follow you instead of you following it.
