What are take marks in Stinger?
Take marks are a cut list: every time you press play, Stinger logs pauses, resumes, re-reads, and restarts with timestamps so you (or your editor) find the stumble.
What does Stinger record in each take?
Start, pauses longer than 1.5 s, resumes, re-reads (backward nudges, jumps back, or Track catching you re-reading), restarts, section jumps, and end — all with timestamps from when the countdown finishes.
Where are take marks saved?
Each take is saved as <script> — take N — <date>.md in ~/Library/Application Support/Stinger/Takes/. Open File › Reveal Takes Folder to find them. The file includes an offset in seconds if your recording started when you pressed play instead of at the countdown end.
How do I export take marks?
File › Export Last Take Marks… saves the latest take's cut list anywhere on your Mac — hand it to your editor or use it yourself to scrub straight to the flub.
