How do I control Stinger from a presentation clicker or keyboard shortcut?
Stinger responds to global hotkeys from any app: ⌘P play/pause, ⌘R restart, ⌘↑/⌘↓ speed, ⌘⇧M show/hide, ⌘⇧N snap to notch, ⌘⇧→/⌘⇧← next/previous section. Turn on Clicker mode to map Page Down / Page Up / F5 — what presentation remotes send — to next section / previous section / play-pause.
Can I change the hotkeys?
Yes. Go to Settings › Hotkeys, click the one you want to change, and press the new key combination. Delete restores the default. All hotkeys work from any app.
What is Clicker mode and when should I use it?
Clicker mode maps standard presentation remote buttons to Stinger controls: Page Down (next section), Page Up (previous section), F5 (play-pause). Turn it on in the Prompter menu or Settings before your take. Because those are plain keys, Clicker mode captures them from every other app while it's on — turn it off after you're done so you don't hijack Page Down elsewhere.
What does each hotkey do?
⌘P: play/pause · ⌘R: restart from the top · ⌘↑: increase speed · ⌘↓: decrease speed · ⌘⇧M: show/hide the prompter panel · ⌘⇧N: snap the panel back to the notch · ⌘⇧→: jump to the next section (heading) · ⌘⇧←: jump to the previous section.
